At this workshop, new lacquer varieties are developed to meet the needs of the times while preserving traditional techniques. You can observe how the lacquer raw materials are refined and also a demonstration by a lacquer craftsman.
Visitors can learn how to coat the surface of the chopsticks with lacquer under the guidance of a craftsman. Of course, visitors can take home their own original pair of chopsticks.

　Lacquer may cause chafing depending on one's physical constitution or physical condition. When visiting the workshop or working with lacquer, please keep skin exposure to a minimum and wear gloves, especially when working with lacquer.
